A very nice Conway Stewart 206M fountain pen and original holder

The Conway Stewart 200M from the 1920s and 1930s is famous for its mottled red hard rubber (vulcanite) body and a distinctively short, knurled, domed cap. When Conway Stewart designed closely related models during that era, they followed a specific nomenclature and design scaling:

The 206M shares the exact same aesthetics and internal mechanics as the 200M. However, it was built as a slightly scaled-up, longer variant.
The high domed cap: A standout feature of the 206 family is its prominent, high-domed, knurled cap top. While the 200M has a shallower, more squat knurled cap, the 206 cap features a noticeably taller, more pronounced dome.

The pen is a clipless model, fitted with a period-correct removable accommodation clip (a slide-on metal band with a pocket clip). Because fountain pens without clips were easy to lose out of a pocket, many owners purchased these separate, aftermarket metal holder clips to slide onto the cap. Excellent condition with clear imprints. 120mm in length.

The Conway Stewart 200M is a vintage antique fountain pen produced in England between 1925 and 1935.

Key Details of the Conway Stewart 200M:
Material & Finish: Made from red hard rubber (vulcanite) or red ripple / woodgrain patterns with gold-plated trim.
Design Type: A clipless model featuring a knurled domed cap and a lever-fill mechanism.
Fitted with a Conway Stewart No. 5 14-karat gold nib, frequently with a flexible stub or broad profile.

Comes in its metal (probably nickel) sleeve with pocket clip. Imprinted with CS (for Conway Stewart).

Conway Stewart 526M Mottled Vulcanite Fountain Pen, Broad Nib, in excellent condition.

The Conway Stewart 526 (often known as the Dinkie 526) is a vintage pocket fountain pen originally introduced around 1928–1930, historically manufactured in the UK using hard rubber or vulcanite.

Material / Finish: Originally launched in chased black vulcanite (hard rubber) before expanding into marbled and multicolour celluloid/resin patterns (such as red, blue, green, and black). Mottled vulcanite or hard rubber variants were also produced across classic Conway Stewart pocket lines of that era.

Marketed as an ultra-compact ring-top or pocket model (the Dinkie series measured around 90mm in overall length for standard variations).

The Conway Stewart 726 & Duro 2 Box Set Ring Top Lavender refers to a highly collectible, vintage British writing set from the late 1920s or 1930s. This specific set is prized among fountain pen collectors for its rare Lavender casein or celluloid finish, compact vest-pocket sizing, and historical significance.

Fantastic set in this beautiful and rare colour. Quite faint imprint on the pen but on the pencil it is gold-filled and new-looking.
The pen has a very nice No.3 CS 14k gold nib. It will need a new ink sac before using.

Conway Stewart Dandy (Model 726) Fountain Pen: A smaller, vest-pocket sized fountain pen traditionally fitted with a flexible or semi-flexible 14-karat gold nib. In this era, it features a lever-filler mechanism and a ring-top cap (a small loop instead of a traditional pocket clip), which allowed the owner to attach it to a chatelaine, ribbon, or neck chain.

Conway Stewart Duro No. 2 Propelling Pencil: A matching mechanical pencil featuring the Duro Point mechanism.

The Lavender Finish
The Lavender colourway is exceptionally scarce. During this period, Conway Stewart experimented heavily with vibrant, marbled, and pearlescent plastics, including casein (a milk-protein based material) and celluloid. Casein produces incredibly deep, luminous colors that modern materials struggle to replicate; however, it is highly sensitive to moisture and sunlight. Finding a set in this colour without significant fading, crystallisation, or water warping is extremely rare.

The special edition Black Mosaic was introduced in 2002, following the blue in 2001. These pens are amongst the most eye-catching of the modern Duofolds. It features shimmering black and white tones with a rhodium-plated trim, in hand cast acrylic.

I have quite a few of these classy maple stands for showing off fountain pens. I obtained them many years ago from a pen shop owner and they were used in shop window displays.

The wood features distinct, small, circular swirls and tiny dark specks scattered unevenly across the surface, which resemble tiny birds' eyes. This is a naturally occurring grain anomaly found almost exclusively in hard maple trees. They are all different – some are lighter in colour or have more bird’s eyes. It has the classic creamy-white to light golden-honey coloration typical of maple wood when finished.

They are 168mm long and 41mm tall, as you can see in the last two photos.

Rare Vintage Waterman No. 0502 GFT "Golpheresque" Eyedropper Fountain Pen – fully boxed set with flexible #2 New York Nib (c. 1900).

A 120-year-old gold-filled eyedropper in fantastic condition. Comes complete with original glass pipette, green leather box and Waterman filling instructions.

The classic Waterman "Golpheresque" pattern is a gold-filled overlay. These were crafted with intricate, hand-engraved gold-filled metal wrapped over a core of black hard rubber. Gold-filled is not solid gold. It was a luxury finish meant to give the aesthetic and weight of a gold pen at a slightly more reasonable price point.

The Pen: Excellent, highly preserved condition. The gold-filled overlay is bright and crisp with no visible brassing (wear through the gold plating) and no visible dents or structural cracks. The exposed black hard rubber retains its deep colour with minimal UV oxidation.

The Nib & Feed: The 14k Gold "New York" #2 nib is perfectly aligned with straight, undamaged tines. The feed is entirely intact. The nib offers highly responsive flexibility under light finger pressure.

The Box: Outstanding vintage condition for its age. The green leather exterior structural integrity remains intact, and the deep velvet interior lining is in excellent condition with some ink stains.

Engraving information (from Google AI): The barrel cartouche features an engraving reading "Chas. F. Staiger". Historical census and genealogical records from the turn of the century point to this pen originally belonging to the prominent Staiger family line of the American Midwest (principally Ohio/Indiana). A luxury writing instrument of this calibre – complete with its premium flexible nib and original velvet-lined presentation box – was an immense status symbol in the early 1900s, traditionally commissioned for prominent professionals or gifted as an elite milestone heirloom.
