Waterman 52 Red Ripple Pen & Pencil Set, 1920s, with rare Christmas Box
Waterman 52 Red Ripple Pen & Pencil Set, 1920s, with rare Christmas Box. Excellent condition.
Original Medium flexible 14k gold nib.
Red ripple hard rubber with gold plated trim. The feed on the fountain pen is also red ripple hard rubber.
As good as mint, though pencil has a name faintly engraved on it: WM. A. SHREVE.
Model 52 (marked on the end of the pen barrel).
The pencil takes 1.1mm leads and works via the twist mechanism. It doesn't retract the leads and they must be pushed back in.
The pen is a lever filler. The sac has been replaced and is working well.
Flexible fine nib, 14k gold. The nib is marked Waterman Ideal Reg US Pat. Off. 2.
The tines spread very easily and can be considered full flex. It goes between a fine and about a double broad.
