This beautiful gilt bronze Venetian pattern rocking ink blotter was designed by Louis C. Tiffany, circa 1905–20. Signed and numbered on end edge. Excellent condition, measures 140×72×50mm.
Marked “Tiffany Studios, New York, 1646”. The pattern simulates elaborate Venetian tooled-leather designs. Note the little ermines that run around the bottom of the piece, with red enamelled dots between them.
