Designed by Parker together with Charly Hersovici (founder of the Magritte Foundation).
In 1998 Parker produced a Lapis Lazuli Duofold Centennial for the Benelux countries markets to commemorate the 100 year jubilee of the Belgian artist René Francois Ghislain Magritte (born on 21 November 1898 in Lessines, Belgium). The pen has his signature on the cap and the crown sports a stylised white bird.
Presented in one of the more elaborate boxes for a Parker Limited Edition pen. It is made like a mirror cabinet, with the mirrors reflecting one of Magritte’s paintings (La Lunette d’Approche – The Looking Glass – 1963). The box also contains a bronze paperweight made by Fonderia Artistica Versiliese (Italy) in the shape of a masked apple inspired by Le Prêtre Marie – The Married Priest – 1961. There is also a card featuring the edition number 193.
Lapis blue acrylic Duofold, gold-plated clip and bands, barrel engraved with Magritte's signature, cap top decal with white bird.
Converter filler. 18K gold two-tone Fine nib.
