Parker Duofold International Fountain Pen, Check Olive
A mint Parker Duofold International Fountain Pen, Check Olive.
Fine 18k gold nib. Platinum plated trim. The cap and nib bear the Parker Ace emblem.
Gift box, outer box and new refill included. Can also be used with a Parker converter, not supplied here.
The barrel code Y.111 dates this pen to the first quarter of 2006.
The Check Collection was created in 2005 to launch the newly branded Ace Duofold. It was a stunning new geometric pattern and produced in three two-tone check finishes in amber/hazel, olive/grey and blue/marine.
The vivid material was crafted from squares of different colour pearl acrylic seamlessly joined together, by diffusion bonding, with solid black coloured squares. The check pattern is harmonious and yet wholly unique with subtle colour variations. The appearance is reminiscent of the multicoloured laminates used in the 1930s.
