Onoto de la Rue 5501 (8.7) Fountain Pen in rare Opaline Pearl, c1936. Plunger filler.
A rare Onoto model - a beautiful pen, made in England. Superb surface condition and colour definition and crisp, clear barrel imprint. Fully working condition with new seals. Sun emblem, gold filled ball end clip.
Lovely original De La Rue Onoto 3 S/T 14k solid gold nib. Fine to medium and flexible. Smooth & very nice to write with.

The pen is in superb cosmetic condition with no scratches and no cracks and no brassing.
The only blemish, which does not detract from the pen, is a small indentation directly under the ball of the clip. This can be felt rather than seen , is caused by the pressure of the clip ball, and is completely hidden by the clip.

Single gold filled cap band.
